“Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the educational process that leads to the development of emotional intelligence - that is, the process by which we become better at understanding and managing our emotions AND learning how they impact the choices we make, the relationships we have and our outlook in life.” Building and maintaining positive relationships with others are central to success in school and life and require the ability to recognize the thoughts, feelings, and perspectives of others, including those different from one’s own.

● Students will exhibit traits of image development and character development, and strategies that support social and emotional development
● Students will learn how to use techniques to control negative thoughts, cut negativity, maximize resources, and monitor social media platforms
● Students will demonstrate how incorporate positive relationships, effective communication skills, life development skills, and maximize resources
● Students will demonstrate proper communication skills to effectively communicate with parents and peers
● Students will understand the importance of identity and explain their life goals
● Students will apply skills learned to maximize their individual gifts and talents
● Students will improve their attendance at school on a regular basis
